What is a Shopify theme section?
A section is a reusable building block of your theme — a single .liquid file you install once, then place and customize anywhere in the theme editor. Each Merchant Patch kit is one such file, with every color, text and behavior exposed as a setting.
How do I install a section?
Download the .liquid file, then in your Shopify admin go to Online Store → Themes → Edit code → Sections → Add a new section. Paste the file, save, and add it from the Customize editor like any built-in section. Most installs take under five minutes.
Do I need an app?
No. Every kit is plain Liquid, CSS and JavaScript that lives inside your theme. There is nothing to install from the app store, no monthly fee, and nothing that sends your data anywhere.
